Focus and Scope
The Sri Lanka Journal of Surgery publishes peer reviewed articles in the categories of leading articles, scientific articles, review articles, perspectives, case series and case reports in the field of surgery and broadly related surgical sciences. The editor welcomes descriptions of modem operative techniques (technical note), images in surgery and letters to the editor. All manuscripts will be sent to one or more independent referees for peer review. An article is reviewed for publication on the understanding that the work it reports has not been accepted for publication elsewhere, and has not already been published.
Mission: “To reach the highest standard of scientific surgical practice by dissemination of high quality scientific information and to foster and promote the growth of scientific surgery in Sri Lanka and in the region”.
Articles submitted to the journal are deposited with Crossref and the articles are screened by Crossref Similarity Check.
The journal issues four publications per annum. Three issues in March, July, November and a supplement with the Sri Lanka Surgical Congress (the Annual Scientific Sessions of the College of surgeons of Sri Lanka).
